Stretch fabrics are our company’s featured products. These fabrics possess a high degree of elasticity, allowing them to stretch under a certain amount of force, and then return to their original texture and structure when released (without damaging the fabric). This property is typically due to the fabric including a certain amount of spandex, as we all know spandex is a classic high-stretch fiber. Most often, spandex is blended with polyester or nylon and then knitted into fabrics.
Stretch fabrics offer so many advantages:
As the name suggests, the most obvious advantage is their high stretchability. Fabrics with a high spandex content can stretch up to 150% or even 200% of their original shape, yet quickly return to their original shape without losing it. Furthermore, the fabric hugs the body tightly, contouring to your curves.
Secondly, stretch fabrics are incredibly versatile. Four-way stretch fabrics are often used in yoga wear, leggings, and activewear, making them popular with activewear lovers. Of course, stretch fabrics can also easily be used in everyday wear, as they offer exceptional comfort. Highly stretchy fabrics are also suitable for medical applications or shapewear. However, we never use these suggestions to limit the use of a particular fabric; designers can always give it a second life through clever use.
